Construction Carpenter

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join its Diocesan Construction (DICON) team. This full-time position performs skilled carpentry and general construction work for diocesan buildings and properties across Maine. Responsibilities include framing, remodeling, finish carpentry, flooring, drywall installation, roofing repairs, demolition, and general construction activities. The Carpenter works both independently and with a construction crew to complete projects safely, efficiently, and with high-quality workmanship.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma (or equivalent), a valid driver's license, and preferably at least three years of carpentry or construction experience. Technical training or apprenticeship experience is a plus. Candidates must be comfortable working in varying weather conditions, lifting up to 75 pounds, and safely operating construction tools and equipment.
